The Carson City Hearing Officer reserves the right to take items out of order, remove an item from the agenda or delay discussion relating to an item on the agenda at any time. 

** PUBLIC COMMENT: Please note that liquor hearings conducted by the Hearings Officer are NOT subject to Nevada's Open Meeting Law Requirements because an individual Hearing Officer does not constitute a "public body" as the term is defined in the NRS 241.015 for purposes of Open Meeting Law compliance. However, to further the City's policy of providing transparency in the government and to encourage public participation, the Hearing Officer will provide at least 2 public comment periods in accordance with the Open Meeting Law prior to adjournment. In addition, it is Carson City's aspirational goal to also provide for item- specific public comment as follows: In order for members of the public to participate in the public body's consideration of an agenda item, the public is strongly encouraged to commit on the agenda items when called for by the Hearings Officer during the items itself.
